ASCC Opens Annual International Decorative Concrete Council Awards Program

The Sixteenth Annual International Decorative Concrete Council Awards program for 2024 recognizes and celebrates exceptional decorative concrete projects from around the globe.

The Decorative Concrete Council has announced the opening of the sixteenth annual International Decorative Concrete Council Awards program. The deadline for submissions is June 17 and the awards will be presented at the ASCC conference in September.

According to the press release:

The Decorative Concrete Council (DCC) of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Mo. is excited to announce the launch of its Sixteenth Annual International Decorative Concrete Council Awards program for 2024. This award program recognizes and celebrates exceptional decorative concrete projects from around the globe.

Entries for the 2024 awards will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of independent industry professionals. Winners will be chosen in each of the following 12 categories:

  1. Polished Concrete & Overlays
  2. Architectural Concrete (Cast-in-Place Structures)
  3. Cast-in-Place Stamped Concrete
  4. Cast-in-Place Special Finishes
  5. Countertops/Furniture/Firepits
  6. Multiple Applications (Projects with installations spanning two or more categories)
  7. Concrete Artistry
  8. Stained & Dyes
  9. Vertical/Facades
  10. Project Video
  11. Decorative Resinous Coatings
  12. Cementitious Overlays

Additionally, one project will be selected to receive the WOW! Award, recognizing it as the Best of Show.

The awards will be presented at the 2024 ASCC Annual Conference scheduled to take place Sept. 18–21 at the Downtown Kansas City, Mo. Marriott Hotel. This event brings together leaders and professionals from the concrete industry to network, share insights, and celebrate excellence in decorative concrete.

“We are excited to once again honor outstanding achievements in decorative concrete through our annual awards program,” said Rich Cofoid, chair of the Decorative Concrete Council. “These awards not only showcase the remarkable talent and innovation within our industry but also inspire others to push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship.”

Entries for the Sixteenth Annual ASCC International Decorative Concrete Council Awards are now open, and participants are encouraged to submit their projects for consideration. The deadline for submissions is June 17, 2024.
